PUBLIC OUTRAGE FORCES CITY CHANNEL RESPONSE
Internet exclusive: On Full Disclosure® VIDEO NEWS ALERT
Run Time: 2:00 mins.
Release Date: July 20, 2006

Los Angeles, CA The removal of the Emmy Award winning Full Disclosure® program from a public cable channel has sparked a number of complaint calls to the City Government Channel, thus prompting the management to refer all complaints to the Council Sponsor of the program who they say was solely responsible terminating the program.

Full Disclosure Network® is now presenting a 2 minute Video News Alert on their web site, encouraging viewers to express their concerns and urging the program to be restored to the channel line up. The video contains an exclusive one minute tape recorded response from Tony Ighani, Station Manager of the L.A. CityView Channel 35. In the message, Ighani is referring all calls from citizens complaining about the abrupt termination of the Full Disclosure® program on the channel to Councilman Bernard Parks District 8 office by calling 213-473-7008.

The response of the CityView Channel raises questions as to why the program was terminated: no specific allegations of impropriety were cited. The Full Disclosure Network® -an educational, non-profit organization-has been providing public affairs programming to the CityView Channel, free of charge, as a public service since 1992.

The following June 14, 2006 termination letter was sent by Councilman Bernard Parks office, citing that the Full Disclosure® program had aired "recent programs with contentious content" and therefore was terminating his sponsorship immediately. This curious Email was sent by Parks to Producer Leslie Dutton, raising more questions than it answered due to the conflicting accounts of what had actually happened.

Why was this important program removed? Leslie Dutton provides the best and most complete and informative coverage of LAUSD.

I watch Channel 35 all the time and I don't think we shoulod even think about a 3rd term for this do-nothing city council. If Full Disclosure isn't back on Ch.35 by election time, I think we should replace the council members with ones that will have the citizens'desires in mind.

I do think the program "Full Disclosure" fullfilled a service to the community.
I also notice that the program I saw featured on August 07, 2006 appeared to suggest that the United States Government should allow a certain portion of our country be taken over by others who believe the country belongs to them.
I would imagine that talk such as this is the thin edge of the wedge to overcome our American Government.
To say the least this is a dangerous context for any person in America to distribute.
I for one think this will hurt those who it indended to help the immigrants to this country.

I guess our city fathers are afraid that the truth may reach the masses. That's way too dangerous for Los Angeles.

Please don't stop fighting...

Dear Leslie,
I have been calling Bernard Park's office to get your program back on tv. I am outraged by not only this form of censorship, but the condition of my community and country. I have become an activist to save my country. I have three young grandsons. I won't let the America-haters nor my own government throw away the future of my grandchildren! United We Stand! The American people have to rise to this assualt on our soil! It's programs like yours that help keep us informed. Keep up the good work. We need you!
THANK YOU LESLIE!
Sincerely
Debra

Taking Full Disclosure off of channel 35 can not be reasonabley reconciled. It must be returned. Write to the City Council. Voice your displeasure.

We have learned today that Councilman Park's office is going to issue a statement next week in response to all of the calls that were generated to his office. Thanks to all of you, you are getting their attention. If you placed a call to the Councilman's office and they have not yet returned your call, please call them again on Monday. THEY NEED TO HEAR FROM THE PEOPLE DIRECTLY. Thanks again. Leslie Dutton
