Los Angeles, CA Full Disclosure Network® presents a six minute Video News Blog featuring a chronology of events leading up to the abrupt termination of the Emmy Award winning public affairs program from the L. A. CityView Cable Channel 35 last June. Host Leslie Dutton appeals to viewers of the program on public cable channels and the Internet to join in the campaign to find out the real reasons why the public service program was terminated.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT:
Appearing in this video news blog are community leaders who testified in support of the Full Disclosure Network® at a July 27, 2006 meeting of the Los Angeles Municipal Access Policy Board that oversees operations of CityView Channel 35. The video features clips of their requests for a full investigation and hearing. Those testifying are:
- Don Schultz, past president Van Nuys Neighborhood Council, & Homeowers Association
- David Hernandez, North Hollywood Neighborhood Association
- Dave Bradford, Silverlake/Echo Park Residents
- Gil Wong, member Sylmar/Lakeview Terrace Homowners
- Leslie Dutton, Producer/Host of the Full Disclosure Network®
PROGRAMMING PROVIDED AS A PUBLIC SERVICE
Since 1992 the Full Disclosure® program has been featured on CityView Channel 35, without cost to the City, as a public service at the request of various City Departments, agencies and Council members. The Full Disclosure Network® is an educational, non-profit organization. In 2002, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presented host Leslie Dutton with a public affairs Emmy Award for their series entitled “L.A.’s War Against Terrorism”, featuring LAPD Chief Bernard Parks, LAPD Lt. Ken Hillman, L.A. Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas and L.A. County Sheriff Leroy Baca, covering how government agencies would work together following 9/11.
VIEWERS URGED TO HELP
At the conclusion of this video news blog the Full Disclosure Network® requests viewers to call
- Tony Ighani Station Manager at 213-485-7561
- Bernard Parks, Council District 8 at 213-473-7008
CONFLICTING TERMINATION LETTERS?
This June 14, 2006 termination letter clearly states the immediate termination was due to “contentious content” while an Email sent by Councilman Bernard Parks to Producer Leslie Dutton contradicted the letter, stating he had not pulled his sponsorship of the program. It is hoped that the real reasons will be revealed at a full hearing on the matter to be held in October.
The Full Disclosure Network® can be seen on 43 cable systems and the internet. Billed as “the news behind the news” programs feature critical issues rarely addressed in depth in the regular news media.

I was wondering if Councilman Parks also feels that our LA streets that were filled with 500,000 foreign, illegal, aggressive, demonstrators, waving foreign flags, back in March 2006, also contained "Contentious Content".

Illegal immigration is encouraged by the those international powers who have infiltrated and corrupted our government,( e.g. world banksters and federal reserve system,) in order to destroy our sovereignty, lower wages and increase taxes of Americans. The gangsters in political offices at all levels of government are their whores. They should ALL rot in Hell.

When you address illegal procreating immigration which has slowly ruined california and Los Angeles you put the nail in the coffin of FULL DISCLOSURE; there is something rotten in the State Of Los Angeles. In 2003, I was illlegally evicted from my rent controlled apartment. I went to Bernard Parks' office and Mayor Villaraigosa's office and they both did not have any time for me since I was not illegal nor hispanic and I've been semi-homeless ever since. Read my book CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE WORST KIND and you shall understand what people will do to protect their own selfish bureaucratic interests.

I can't believe the depths of our
politician's corruption. In this day and age the press is being blocked from reporting the important information that the people really need to know or the
plug is simply being pulled. There is one newspaper in my area
that will not print any of my letters to the editor because the LA City Councilperson has bought
them off or threatened the editors. The newspapers will not
print any criticism of how our
politicians are wasting our hard earned taxpayer dollars. The people have lost their conduits to
the truth. The politicians know that if the public knew what there
were really doing they would get
thrown out.

I am shocked that the city government targeted Full Disclosure, and deprived Les her right of free press and speach? The government has no accountability to the tax payers. It is time to mobelize the people! Dont give up Les! This is only the begining!

I was referred here by John & Ken. You clearly are disgussing subjects from a viewpoint that Parks & friends don't want aired.

This is a shameful display of bureaucratic censorship. Clearly, Full-Disclure was hitting too close to home, and the suits at City Hall couldn't stand the exposure.
