Valerie Plame affair is not a trivial story as Bozell has indicated. Whoever leaked the information committed treason, it's that simple, and should go to jail for the rest of his life. Doesn't matter who leaked it, doesn't matter what political philosophy he holds, the person who did it weakened our national security, ended Plame's career, endangered many people's lives, and tarnished our government's image. Rhetorically speaking, how can a brave CIA agent with no official cover (NOC) trust the government not to stab him in the back again? To name NOC is unconscionable. As a patriot, everybody must condemn this behaviour.
I can't believe Bozell tried to redirect the attention by blaming the liberal media for outing Plame. It doesn't matter where the information leaked. The man who leaked it to further his agenda bears the bulk of the guilt, period. When a murderer uses a gun to kill a person, is the murderer any less guilty if he used a left handed gun? That would be just absurd.
By the way, I can not find any evidence to Bozell's claim that The Nation magazine outted Plame first. Anyone have any information regarding Bozell's claim? Or is he lying? |

There's a big difference between "participating" and "witnessing" killing and raping civilians. The reason why nobody investigated Kerry's participation in killing and raping Vietnamese villagers is because he testified that he witnessed the acts, not perpetrating the acts by participation. One word makes all the difference. |

Interesting interview, I think secondary validation is necessary for it to be fully believed. It seems both the right and left spend a considerable amount of time calling each other names. I agree, to some extent, that the predominate view of media representation is 'left' It seems this view usually a more compelling, and thus lucrative view. Fairy stories have alwas had good 'underdogs' (represented by journalists) fighting a just war with the bad oppresive powerfigures. Most of us have read and enjoyed faiystoris when we were young and are predesposed to reading a more sophisticated version today.
While journalism (investigative) can be an important role when used honestly, agenda journalism is distructive and maniulative, and never right.
I do not believe media bias/manipulation will change until the people care enough to shout, perhaps thats what the bloggers are doing. |

Great in-depth reporting on Media Bias and political agendas. Keep up the fantastic work, as always. |

The bias is so great that national media and press should admit that they are members of the Democrat party. The majority of Americans distrust the veracity of national media and press. |

Good segment with Brent Bozell. I agree the media are overwhelmingly liberal and highly selective in what they report. Unfortunately, even though most people agree the media are not to be trusted, those same people -- unless they aggressively pursue the truth on the Internet and listen to a variety of radio commentary -- still seem to rely on the media for the contents of their thoughts. Maybe that's why so many people seem to focus on their own entertainment and amusement. Not a happy state of affairs.
Anyhow, keep up the great work. |

Mr. Bozell is right on target. Hopefully the liberal media will ultimately shoot itself in the foot and then perhaps we might get back to real news. Bonnie is right Leslie -- you are doing a fab job!
