Full Disclosure Network® AT THE EMMYS
CABLE ACCESS NEWS SERIES TAKES COVETED AWARD AFTER 10 YEAR STRUGGLE

With an upset win at the June 29th Los Angeles Emmy Awards, local cable access series Full Disclosure Network® made history by beating out established Los Angeles TV broadcast news leaders to bring home the gold.

Winning over NBC4's "News Conference: Movers and Shakers, previous winner " KTLA's "Making It! Minority Success Stories," and KOCE's "Real Orange," Full Disclosure Network® becomes the first independently produced, privately funded cable access series to be awarded an Emmy by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for excellence in the field of Informational/Public Affairs programming.

Full Disclosure Network® was honored for it's multi-part series "L.A.'s War Against Terrorism," which investigated local and regional anti-terror measures in the wake of 9/11. Featuring Full Disclosure Network® host Leslie Dutton's interviews with local law enforcement, labor leaders and elected officials, "L.A.'s War Against Terrorism" explored strategies to fend off possible future attacks and examined plans for cooperation between local and federal law enforcement agencies. The series also looked into new anti-terrorism legislation on a state and national level. Two installments of the series featured in-depth interviews with L.A.'s top law enforcement officer, LAPD Chief Bernard Parks.

Hosted and produced for over ten years by veteran civic activist Leslie Dutton, Full Disclosure Network® originally went "on the air" in 1992, broadcasting from a local cable channel in Santa Monica, California. Since then, thanks to word of mouth and viewer dedication, the weekly series has expanded its audience base considerably and is now seen weekly on over 40 cable channels and one satellite service from Orange County to Sacramento.

Operating on a shoestring budget, the show has consistently worked to offer in-depth coverage on "the news behind the news," providing a platform for local and federal leaders to conduct an open dialogue for the benefit of the residents of California. Thanks to Dutton's personal access to regional and national leaders, guests on Full Disclosure Network® are able to offer accurate, first-hand information on issues of crucial local importance. Over the past 10 years, Full Disclosure Network® has welcomed guests including most of the former U.S. Attorneys General, Special and Independent Prosecutors, L.A. County Sheriffs Sherman Block and Lee Baca, and every Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department from Ed Davis to Bernard Parks.

When asked about Full Disclosure Network® 's Emmy, Dutton compared the show to a genuine Cinderella  story, "After a ten year struggle I finally feel like we've been to the ball," said Dutton.
