I am a conservative republican. Leslie Dutton's evasiveness and sanctimonious blather on the John&Ken show sounded like Hillary Clinton. She clearly has an agenda to protect this morally flawed corrupt man.

This is nothing more than a political witch hunt. Go get them Sheriff Mike Carona. Many citizens support you and not just from Orange County.

I believe Carona has done a good job, and this indictment and the surrounding rumors must be proven before any action should be taken against Carona. Witch hunt does come to mind. We should remember all these accusations on websites about what the sheriff did and didn't do have not been proven and some are just way off based. This lady that has a problem with the coroners office but blaming Carona personally saying he murdered her husband, get a grip. The office was following procedures that have bet set forth previously. People gettting riled up about anything they can sling.

A hard working street cops catches a 3 striker after a dangerous pursuit & in the heat of the moment uses too much force in taking the resisting suspect into custody. Everyone screams for the cops job.
A sitting sheriff engages in a pattern of corruption for years & people defend him. Simply amazing.

I still like Carona and hope he can weather this storm. The Feds aren't always right. Look what they did to those 2 border patrol agents. I hope Carona comes back to work.

No person should be punished under our system unless he/she has been proven guilty. The public is under no risk or threat allowing the under sheriff to preside for the time being. It is possible, and it has happened in the past, that people have been prosecuted for political reasons....allowing this "witch hunt" mentality to override a fair and balanced process will not do anyone any good.

I think Carona is a good man. I do not think he should resign. He has not been found guilty, he has not even been allowed to explain or defend himself.
