Los Angeles, CA. Watch this 7 minute video news update report featuring

  • Mary Tiedeman ACLU Jail Project Coordinator
  • Peter Eliasberg ACLU Managing Attorney
  • Richard I. Fine by collect telephone call from his jail cell

On March 4, 2010 it will be one year in the L.A. County Jail for Richard I. Fine, who accused Superior Court Judge Yaffe of corruption for taking illegal payments from the L.A. County in a case involving the County of Los Angeles. The ACLU has been called in to prevent inmate abuse by the L. A. County Jailers who are holding Fine in solitary “Coercive Confinement” in Central Men’s jail for contempt of court by order of Superior Court Judge David P. Yaffe.

Having never been convicted of a crime, Richard I. Fine, a 70 year old anti-trust attorney, who holds a Ph.D in International Law, has been held without a trial and without bail and no hearing or release date. These are circumstances in violation of U.S. Supreme Court precedent, In Re Farr (1974), where the five day limit on “coercive confinement” in civil contempt of court cases must apply.

The ACLU had previously informed Mr. Fine’s family and Full Disclosure® that they were unable to assist him. But when his upper dental plate broke on January 5, 2010 he complained to his jailers that he could not eat without them, he realized he desperately needed their help.

We called Actor Ed Asner, long known as a humanitarian and who was recently honored by the ACLU for his devotion to preserving Civil Liberties. Mr. Asner unhesitatingly offered to call Ramona Ripston executive director of the ACLU and wife of prominent Ninth Circuit Court Judge Steven Reinhardt, to request help for Mr. Fine. For years the ACLU has served as court appointed monitor for the L. A. County jails to prevent inmate abuse and assure attention to inmate health care complaints.

This is the reason I no longer donate to the ACLU. Yet they were right there for Rush Limbaugh's case? As others have said, their body language, especially the guy's says it all. Very unprofessional. Gay marriage is more important to them then anything else. They're priorities are completely out of order. The ACLU is the new PETA of human rights. (Hint, PETA euthanizes animals people hand over believing they'll be adopted out).

The ACLU's Body language and excuses speaks volume's to anyone with half a brain. I am disgusted . That girl was lying flat out her hands were following the most typical protocol for lying and nervousness.

Shame on the ACLU because here a 70 year old man cannot eat properly due to cracked denture plate. This man is a political prisoner in our American jail becuase he exposed widespread court corruption in Los Angeles Superior Court system -- with over 200 judges.

Shame on the ACLI -- what dunces these two are. Who's paying them under the table? Prison confinement in solitary for a 70 year old man.

Here is the full disclosure link to the early release of prisoners, since it's not on the front page yet.
It has the latest blah, blah, from sheriff LeeRoy Baca.

Staff writer Troy Anderson of the Daily News posted an article about the "One year" incarceration of Richard Fine. While he didn't get all the correct information on the case,(which is no surprise) at least he did a write up on it. Go to the link, and read the postings.
The ACLU is just as useless as any other State employed organization.

Now on to the useless D.A. Steve Cooley. He is now in hot water, and I don't feel bad for him. He ignored Richard Fine's issue. Bye Bye Cooley, don't forget your soap on the roap.

This isn't the America we knew, our government now has the power to, torture, assassinate American's without a trial, hold them forever without a trial, take property without a trial, search your house without a warrant, tap your phone without a warrant, set up check points, it's not America anymore, we are now the "United Terrorist States, of Amerika. Our government causes more death, destruction, harm, and suffering to foreign nations, than any other terrorist organization. EVER. Our government blows up children with remote control bombs, how is that not terrorism?????????????????

Richard Fines dental plate broke months ago, and they still haven't done anything useful to correct it. This is beyond mistreatment, this boarders on abuse. No, this is abuse and torture. Here in the United States, where we are supposed to be free from such inhumane treatment... how deplorable our Government is.
It's been said many times before, someone in a group to help citizens who are unjustly treated, always seems to be related to a Judge somewhere.

So the ACLU really stands for "Assist Corrupt Legal Unions" right?
