While I can appreciate the situation Corona finds himself in, he's in nothing less than any other criminal. The pressure is on the news media to paint a bad picture in their reporting, which effects not only the potential jurors, but the courts as well. The whole system is broken. Plea bargins/intimidation is the norm, not the exception. I hate to think of the numbers of people that were convicted at trial for murders on shoddy evidence, only to have the cases reversed after the discovery of DNA testing. How can this be? First and foremost is the news media whose agenda is support of the DAs office, forming public opinion before trial. Its irresponsible reporting with someones fate in the balance. The DAs office also believes whats reported as they prolly edited what was to be said. Then the judges lean towards the DAs findings rather than facts of the case, an informed opinion. The cards are stacked heavily against a defendant before determining guilt or innocence by fact. I lost my children in 1986 because I was found guilty of negligence because I wouldnt turn over tape recordings of the BATF framing several individuals.They told me I would never see my children again. I saw one of them after 20 years as the other had commited suicide. There is no justice there, one family destroyed so the BATF could save face. This country is made up of millions of families who have gone through the same if not worse than corona. I wish him luck, but here you usually have to buy it.
