Release date: June 19, 2005

Los Angeles, CA . The striking contrast in law enforcement policy governing Concealed Weapon Permits (CCWs) comes into focus on a five minute Full DisclosureT   v ideo blog to be launched on the world-wide Internet Monday, June 20, 2005.

So-Cal Sheriffs Conflict on Firearms Permits - CONCEALED WEAPONS

This video blog features Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca and Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona explaining their conflicting policies and criteria for issuing CCWs.  The  fundamental disagreement on the process is presented here and can be viewed 24/7 from the Full Disclosure Network® website. (which can be watched by clicking on this link).  Following the five minute video, viewers are invited to respond to a three question survey and to offer their comments, which will appear on the video blog page the following week.

When asked by Emmy Award winning host Leslie Dutton, if she could personally obtain a Concealed Weapons Permit in their county Sheriffs Baca and Carona provided sharply differing responses, demonstrating the conflict in policy.  It is illegal to carry a concealed weapon in California without a permit. Permits are issued by the local Sheriff or Police Chief. The criteria for obtaining a CCW permit is based upon the local official law enforcement official's own policy. In most of the United States "Right to Carry" laws have been enacted.

Full Disclosure Network's T regular cable and Internet television programs are featured on 40 cable television systems and video streamed on the Internet. Channels and airtimes are listed by community here.

Full DisclosureT host Leslie Dutton has been conducting interviews for the past thirteen years with local, state and national law enforcement officials in order to inform the public on critical police policies and procedures.
