Los Angeles, CA. Leaders of a California citizens revolt in South Orange County are launching a new assault against what they claim is a corrupted recall process that unfairly invalidated thousands of signatures submitted in a campaign to recall all seven members of the Board of Trustees of the Capistrano Unified School District, in Orange County California.

In a Video News Blog at URL: http:/www.fulldisclosure.net/flash/VideoBlogs/VideoBlog24.php describing how the Orange County Registrar's office imposed arbitrary rules and regulations that favored and protected the Trustees while processing the petitions, are four members of the CUSD Recall committee; Tom Russell, spokesperson, Jennifer Beall, Kathy Goff and Constance Lee, Ph D. The video is available free "On Demand" 24/7 as a public service of the Full Disclosure NetworkT.

The CUSD Recall Committee has submitted reports requesting investigations of the Orange County Registrar's handling of the recall petitions to the Secretary of State, Attorney General, Board of Supervisors, District Attorney and the County Grand Jury. They are also requesting the petitions be taken into protective custody to protect the voters rights, while the issue of a corrupted process is being investigated. 1) Registrar Inspection Report on Recall Petitions 2) Recall Committe Press Release on Registrar 3) Recall Committee Release on DA Investigation

Citizens from the communities of Aliso Viejo, Coto De Caza, Dana Point, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Niguel, Los Flores, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano comprising the school district, submitted more than 177,000 signatures on their petitions. The following actions of the Orange County Registrar's office cited by the group as reasons for an investigation:

  • Unauthorized extension for beginning the petition verification process.
  • Lack of standard verification process for voter registration
  • Failure to provide tally sheets and other means to verify accuracy of count
  • Rescinding official representations given to, and relied upon by, petition circulators/disqualifying valid signatures
