DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT:
The Emmy Award winning Full Disclosure Network® is seeking a talented and motivated grant writer experienced in public policy and communications. Responsible for creating, developing and managing a growing portfolio of philanthropic donors to support the non-profit programming of the television network broadcasts. 

Job Description: Director of Development will assist with database management, grant writing, prospect research, and major donor campaigns. Provide support to the Executive Director with all aspects of fundraising and public relations work. Help solicit charitable contributions from individuals and corporations, including major donors. Maintain database used for tracking and recognizing all donation and charitable giving. Assist in producing public relations materials for the organization, including annual report and informational kits. Assist in the production of annual events for the purpose of raising funds and raising public consciousness of the work of the organization. Research new prospects for support. Help to maintain up-to-date paper and electronic files on all aspects of development activities.
Job Qualifications: Bachelors degree required. The Director of Development must have knowledge funding sources targeting public policy, communications, and media projects. This self-starter must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; attention to detail; ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people; excellent writing and speaking skills, experience working with databases, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet research programs; proven ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team. Ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure. Sensitivity to confidential information. Outstanding organizational and problem solving skills. Detail-oriented, people-oriented, flexible and analytical. Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of funding prospects with comfort and effectiveness.
