Los Angeles, CA Supporters of jailed anti-trust attorney Richard I. Fine launched the first of several planned protests across the nation today in front of the Superior Court building. Fine has been held in solitary, "Coercive Confinement" in the Los Angeles County Central Men's jail at the order of State Superior Court Judge David Yaffe who had accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal payments from the County of Los Angeles. Fine has been held for over a year, without charges being filed, without conviction, without bail, hearing date or release date.
At the request of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, the Supreme Court Justices will have Fine's application for "Stay of Execution" submitted before them on Friday, April 23, 2010 and announce their decision on Monday, April 26th, as to their decision whether deny his application, act immediately,= to release him, or to take up matter for a full court review. There is long standing Supreme Court precedent IN RE FARR 1974 that held no person shall be held more than five days in "coercive confinement" for civil contempt of court. In the case of William T. Farr, an L. A. Times and Herald Examiner reporter at the Time, refused to divulge his sources, under Judicial order, on moral grounds. Richard Fine contends that Judge Yaffe's Order was illegal as he refused to recuse himself from the case where he had accepted illegal payments from a party to the case (County of L.A.)

All the individuals who put forth effort to support Richard Fine accomplished more than creating pressure for his release.
They also helped draw attention to the incredible and tragic extent of judicial corruption in ALL the courts which most people mistakenly think are basically just (at least compared to typical politicians).
Every person who they motivated to learn about Richard Fine's ordeal inevitably realizes ALL their supposed rights, including their physical freedom, can be arbitrarily taken by black robed tyrants at any time. Because the resulting fear and disgust may reach levels high enough to overcome any wishful thinking that things aren't too bad, more people realize that they MUST take a stand. Once there are enough voices, it becomes easier to convince many more and at some point, new politicians will be able to remove the worst , thereby weakening the group enough to restore necessary checks and balances. Hopefully.

Our local Probate Court is involved in this type of corruption but no one will get involved! This corruption is running rampant all over the US! Easy money at the cost of abusing the elderly and their intended beneficiaries. It's out and out theft under the guise of "legal".

ITS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY NOW. I WOULD LIKE TO GO TO A RALLY BUT I'M IN WARFARE IN THE PROBATE COURT. I'VE BEEN ILLEGALLY THROWN OUT OF MY RESIDENCE BY THE LA PROBATE COURT WITHOUT CAUSE/DUE PROCESS THIS YEAR. AND I AM BUSY TRYING TO SAVE MY MOTHER FROM GREEDY SIBLINGS AND CONSERVATORS, AND OTHER PROBATE COURT APPOINTED "HELPERS" WHO HAVE TAKEN MY MOTHER OUT OF HER HOME ILLEGALLY, IN VIOLATION OF THE PROBATE COURT'S OWN LAW AND HAVE TAKEN ALL HER MONEY. I AM IN THE WAY OF THEIR TAKING HER HOME AND ALL HER ASSETS. I CARED FOR AND LIVED WITH MY MOTHER FOR 8 YEARS+ AND HER HEALTH WAS GREAT. NOW THEY HAVE TAKEN HER OFF OF ALL HER DOCTOR PRESCRIBED SUPPLMENTS AND NORMAL BLOOD PRESSURE AND CHOLESTEROL MAINTAINING SUPPLEMENTS THAT SHE HAS BEEN TAKING FOR 8+ YEAR WITHOUT GIVING ANY REASON!!
